Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has constituted Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) Boards and charged them to see the empowerment and development of youths in the state as a priority while serving.
The Governor reiterated the success in delivering this Mandate set up will be determined by how well the attitudes and mindsets of the youths are considered.
The State Chairman, NYCN Lagos State Chapter Comrade Lekan Biliamin Sulaimon-Oba in a statement on Wednesday has commended the Governor for charging the newly inaugurated boards to see young people as a priority in the design and implementation of the initiatives of both LSSTF and LSETF.
Comrade Oba stated clearly that if a nation must grow, it must invest in the growth of the youths. The Chairman assures the Governor of absolute dedication of the youths to see the state triumph and ensure we justify the opportunity bestowed on the youths.
The Chairman equally appreciates LSETF Board chairperson, Mrs. Bola Adesola, for the readiness to work with partners to double its impacts on MSMEs.
While thanking the Honorable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development Mr. Olusegun Dawodu for his immense support to ignite youth inclusion in Good Governance, he challenged youths in the state to start taking responsibilities by proving our capacity; initiating genuine business ideas that attract business owner and finally getting skills that will reposition them. He implore the ministry to help fast track access to credit facilities and fund their ideas, innovations and also support their enterprise.
